Exercise Science Minor

Housed within the division of athletic training, this minor is intended to provide students the ability to assess some of the growing concerns within our society, specifically, concerns facing active populations such as wellness, fitness, injury prevention, and rehabilitation. This minor is designed to prepare students to be credentialed as Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists (CSCS) as recognized by the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

The minor is made up of 26 credits and includes the following courses:

ATHT 111 Emergency Medicine in Athletic Training 2 cr.

ATHT 190 Principles of Strength and Reconditioning 2 cr.

ATHT 222 Nutrition for Human Performance and Exercise 2 cr.
